Revisiting Kintaro Ramen
I was downtown on a Sunday and realized that I haven't been to Kintaro in a while, so decided to head over at 2pm, thinking the wait would be shorter. Boy was I wrong! The line-up wasn't long, but I guess it is because people have just been seated, so even thought I was the second group in line, I still waited for half an hour to be seated, then another half an hour till the food arrived. But it sure is worth the wait, the entire bowl is just as good as I remembered (their consistency is amazing). I also tried their new flavor, the spicy garlic ramen. I am glad the food arrived looking like the picture, no false advertising there. And it is a good amount of spiciness for people who like it hot, and the scoop of grounded garlic really kick it up a notch. The only thing with this new flavor is the hotness covers up how rich and flavorful the soup is, so for me I will still prefer the simple shio ramen.
